Many shops have open 24 hours. Watch out for 'nonstop', or '24 godz.' or 'cala doba'. Normal opening hours general 10 am till 7 pm, Food 7 am till 8 pm, Supermarkets 6 till 10 pm.

Tax-free shopping
There are three classes of VAT in Poland: 22 Percent, 7 Percent and 0 Percent. Eg alcohol in a restaurant has 22 Percent VAT. Books, taxis and education has 0 Percent.

Postal Service
The Polish Post has a official web page: http://www.poczta-polska.pl/. To post a normal size letter (114x162 mm, 110x220 mm) up to 20 grams inside Poland costs 1 PLN; to a European country 2.10 PLN; USA & Canada 2.30; Australia 3.10 PLN. A postcard costs the same like a normal size letter.
